Resume Database Software - unlimited open reporting

Recruiting software with unlimited open reporting.  Wow!  That is a mouthful.  What are we talking about and how can it help me be a better executive search or staffing recruiter ?  Back about 10 years ago we used to think we had the coolest set of recruiting reports around.  We could show:

  • How many calls were being made by a recruiter over any period of time.
  • How each recruiter's performance compared with other recruiters.
  • The cost per hire.
  • EEO reporting.
  • The average of how many interviews it took before someone was hired.
  • Who the most successful hiring managers are.
  • Groupings by title, salary, department, etc.
  • The effectiveness of the marketing program.

But about 10 years ago we stopped talking about how cool our reporting process was.  We realized that for every Gopher we sold there was a different reporting need.  What we thought was cool, always got a "yeah but ...".  We were confused.  How could so many staffing or executive search firms doing about the same kind of business have reporting needs that varied so greatly?

What we believe to be the cause of this phenomenon are two characteristics working with each other; one particular to the recruiting business and one a rather human characteristic.

Recruiting is still more of an art than a science.  That being said, there is a very wide diversity in the business models of recruiting staffing or executive search firms.  To throw more fuel into the fire of diversity, no two firms are ever managed quite the same way.  Each recruiting manager or owner has a different way of running and viewing the performance of the business.

Now lets put this diversity with the second ingredient of our reporting cocktail.  Have you ever looked at someone else's report on anything for the first time?  At first it is confusing until you get refocused and determine to concentrate and really figure out what is going on here.  That takes work.  People are lazy.   Now let's take a report you designed.  Every time you look at it you immediately understand, no extra thought required!  It is perfectly clear and simple.  A master piece, correct?

Now you can see that reports created by one individual recruiting software package will never be fully accepted by any executive search, staffing or recruiting firm.  What is really needed for executive recruiters are good easy tools to create their own reports.  The reports need not only to be unique to the recruiting firm but also unique to each individual within the recruiting firm.

That is what Gopher for recruiters provides.  Individual customized reports that are easy to create with report wizards for each recruiter. We call it "unlimited open reporting".  Put this feature together with Gopher's unlimited searching ability and you have a resume database applicant tracking and recruiting software product that will answer every question you ever wanted to know about your recruiting business model.

Oh, but don't get me wrong.  Gopher still comes with a lot of cool reports.
