Applicant tracking software -  hot lists 

                                              

Recruiting software for the most part is designed to be used in a collaborative way.  Well at least our executive search software is.  I add the footnote because I sometimes give demos where the firm wishes to keep information from what part of the recruiting effort unavailable to another part.   This staffing technique often come up where the firm is divided into sales and recruiting.  Very often the sales people desire to keep information about their clients secret an available to the recruiters using the same resume database?  Oh well if it works who am I to say anything.  Our recruitment or applicant tracking software is designed to hold all the information on the entire recruiting process form client prospects , job orders and applicants.   Anyone managing a staffing software firm however must be able to see the complete process.  If the process is riddled with dead ends like here is my own client database here and here is sales guys database over there and here is a database of resumes here than recruitment management becomes a jigsaw puzzle.

Executive search software from Blackdog has never bought into the separate but equal theory, but we do believe each recruiter, each sales person and each level of management needs to see their own views of the very same resume or recruitment database. So we do it with two tools.  First tool is an 'all query engine'. The ability of anyone from administrative assistant to president to query on any piece of information they want quickly and easily.  Second the ability of each person in an executive search firm to have views of the database that are specific to their responsibilities and interests.   For example one recruiter may be specialized distribution managers and another may specialize in cost accountants.  A manger might be interest in only the number of interviews per week by recruiter.  The president may want to know only the number of open orders for the week and the applicants available for these orders.

Our hot lists feature answers this recruitment need.  A recruiter can query for anything and then save it as a hot lists.  The hot lists can be retrieved with a click.  Each recruiter, recruiting manager, staffing assistant can have their own hot lists or view of the resume recruiting database.  The hot lists are not just lists for viewing.  Hot lists are dynamic tools changing with each change to the database,  hot lists can be used for emailing, sending resumes or  'To Do' lists.
