The purpose of a target list is to give the recruiter a working list of candidates that might be considered for a position or a list of positions for a candidate. The list can be modified as necessary. A target list can be prepared for any position or candidate.
When a position record is selected and the Position tab is in the no command mode, a pair of eyes will appear when the mouse is positioned over the Gopher # box. When the pair of eyes is visible you may double click in the selected field with the LEFT mouse button in order to view the list of candidates targeted for the position.
The reverse of a position target list can be opened when the mouse is positioned over the Record # box on the Profile tab. When the pair of eyes is visible you may double click in order to view the list of positions a candidate has been targeted for.
An example of a target list is pictured below. This list was prepared for a position provided by the hiring manager ‘Bill Gates’ for the ‘Windows Programmer’ position number 1. The stages ‘Candidate Contacted’ through ‘Client not Interested’ are user defined on the Captions tab of Gopher Options.
Note: Four stages cannot be redefined; these are ‘Resume Presented’, ‘Resume Sent Date’, ‘Client Interview’ and ‘Start Date’. These stages are automatically updated as information is added to the Tracking tab.
Note: Each of the columns within the Target List may be resized, as well as the entire Target List window. Simply position the mouse over a border in order for arrows pointing to the left and right to appear. Then, drag the border to the right to expand or to the left to minimize.
