You may set up a list of note type options, and assign the type to each applicable note. This enables you to quickly view and sort on note type, in addition to using the type for reporting purposes. When performing certain functions within Gopher, the note type will automatically be assigned for you, according to a pre-set list. The options that are pre-set and used by Gopher are EMLI (Email In), EMLO (Email Out), EMLU (Email Undefined) and IMPRT (Resume Import). Please contact a BlackDog support representative for assistance with setting up additional note type options.
To assign the type to a note you are adding, click in the Type box of the new note and a drop down will open with your available options. Select the option that applies to this note.
Note: Assigning the Note Type to notes is an optional feature. If you do not wish to use it, you may leave the Type blank when adding a new note. You may also remove from your view the Type column on the Note Pad. To toggle this column on or off, click Options on the Gopher menu bar and check/uncheck Show Note Type.
