When searching for a company name or title on the Profile tab, you have the option to include the companies and titles from the Work History section of the personal snap shot in the search. To turn this option on, click Options on the Gopher menu bar and select Include Work History in Profile Queries. When this option is selected and a search is performed for a company in the Company Name box on the Profile tab, Gopher will search not only the company on the Profile tab but also the Company in work histories. When this option is selected and a search is performed in the “Current position and any position qualified to hold” box on the Profile tab, Gopher will search not only the current position field on the Profile tab but also the Title in work histories. When the search criteria are found in a snap shot, the box on the Profile tab will be highlighted yellow.
In the above example, I searched for the company name Microsoft. The Company is highlighted in yellow for Jasper White in order to alert me to the fact that Microsoft was found in Jasper’s prior work history. I click the record count icon in order to view the Work History and see that Jasper did previously work at Microsoft.
Note: The work history is automatically parsed from the resumes when imported into Gopher.
