Snap Shots

Gopher's applicant tracking or staffing software offers two types of snap shots, a personal snap shot as well as a company snap shot. The purpose of the snap shot is to give the recruiter a place to record and then subsequently view when needed a brief script background or any other information useful when dealing with a person or company or when trying to present a personís or companyís services to another. The information contained on the snap shot would not be as readily available and, therefore, not as useful if put in the Note Pad or the Memo tab.

Opening a Snap Shot

When a Profile, Resume, Memo, Position or Tracking record is selected and the tab is in the no command mode, a pair of eyes will appear when the mouse is positioned over the Last Name or the Company Name. When the pair of eyes is visible you may double click in the selected field with the LEFT mouse button in order to view or add to a snap shot of the person or company.

Once information is added to a snap shot and the snap shot is closed, an icon will appear on the leftmost side of the Gopher screen (in the Record Counts area). The icon representing a personal snap shot is .  If you see this icon, it means that information has been added to the selected personís snap shot. You may click the icon to open the snap shot.

The icon representing a company snap shot is .  If you see this icon, it means that information has been added to the company snap shot. You may click the icon to open the snap shot. Note: When information is added to the company snap shot, this icon will appear for everyone in your database at the same company.

You can paste text or images into a snap shot. You can also format the text in the snap shot by changing the font style, size and color. Everything is saved automatically once the snap shot is closed.

Printing/Emailing a Snap Shot

You have the ability to not only print the snap shots, but also save the company snap shot to a Word document or pdf file. This might come in handy if you would like to send information in a company snap shot to a candidate who is interested in learning more about the company. You might have placed pertinent information about the company in the snap shot, and would like to email this information to the candidate. To do this, follow these steps:

1) open the snap shot

2) click the print button

3) click the export button

4) in the Format box, select MS Word and click OK

5) in the Export Options box, click OK

6) name the file, select the folder to save it in and click Save

7) you can now open the file in Word, modify it if necessary and itís ready to email
